Finally I had a trip with my friends after like almost 7 years? Well the last time I went out trips with my friends was like in Standard 6 during primary school, that time we had teachers to plan for us for the whole trip, now we ourselves have to settle all the problems ourselves throughout the whole journey.
Day One
Reached KL Sentral bus station around 9am to take bus to LCCT. First time taking Air Asia plane. Well, low cost ride, I wonder why people kept on complaining about the seats, the service etc, until I was in the plane, the seats was relatively small, not really that comfortable. Well, it was supposed to be low cost flight, you can't expect more than that. Before taking off, bought a packet of Famous Amos cookie and guess what, the packet of cookies lasted until the moment I went back home after the trip. HAHA! So reached Langkawi approximately 3.15pm and it was drizzling. We then went to bargain for rental cars and managed to get 3 cars which is an Avanza, Innova and Alza that can fit all of us in. Thought I won't have to be the driver cause we thought we might get a manual car but then they gave us auto cars... So well, I became one of the drivers of the day. I got to drive an Alza. Since it was raining, we can't carry out our initial plan which was went to bird park and then to Eagles square. Everybody just got in car then spending time in the room before getting ourselves out to Eagles square. After that, we went back to our resort and shopping around that area. There was a shopping mall just opposite our resort, and so we just started shopping like nobody else. Chocolate, liquors were those we shopped the most, since it's all duty-free.Well, that was basically the first day. And yea, people spending their night at the beach, drinking, chit-chatting... while me? collecting seashells. :3

Day Two
Woke up early in the morning, only to find out Sue Yee had lost her phone and IC during the night at the beach where some girls got drunk. So we have to fetch her to police station to make police report. So again, our plan was ruined again. So we went to Coco Valley to shop for some duty-free chocolate and some other stuffs again, and we then went to Black Sand Beach to take some photos at there.

We then went to Langkawi Oriental Village, to take cable car to the Sky Bridge, but the Sky Bridge was closed. Anyway we still took the cable car up. Awesome scenery during the journey up the hill. Cool breeze blowing your head when you reached the top. Well, too cooling maybe, the cool wind was so strong. We wanted to take a group photo actually at there and we have to wait for Xian Ming, Yvonne, Pui Wei, Cedric, Wei Hon and Hui Si to come up, later to find out they decided to go down due to the strong wind on the top. At that moment, gosh, WE HAVE STOOD IN THE FREEZING WIND FOR ABOUR HALF AN HOUR AND THEY DON'T INFORM US AND JUST GO DOWN?!

Later we headed back to our resort, change our outfit and go to the beach..First time ride in a banana boat. It was fun indeed. Awesome experience. We actually managed to hold on the first time before dropping into the sea on their second try to knock us off the boat. One funny moment is that when we were thrown into the sea, I tried to swim forward but I can't. I thought I could not swim at that time and asked for Ben's help. Well in actual case I was actually swimming forward, maybe because I ain't wearing my spectacles, so I can't see anything in front clearly, damn awkward /.\ Perhaps I need to practise swimming again to know the feeling of swimming forward again. At night, went shopping chocolate again. Regretted that I didn't buy much chocolate. Thought I won't have enough money to spend later at Penang. Now think of it, should have buy more chocolate.. Arghh!!! Well, this night was also "special" in a way that I have to sleep between two couples. -_- apparently they wanted to have a night hugging their partners for the last night in Langkawi. Damn awkward to have couples sleeping just beside you, they hugging their partners while me sleeping straight, like a divider to separate two couples away.
Day Three
Perhaps the busiest day ever. Only 7 of us from the trip which are 3 couples (WH and HS, YS and ZY, PK and SO) Morning supposing to reach our jetty point around 8am but Ying Shuang stomachache halfway the journey to jetty and we had to stop at petrol station to let her finish her business. When we reached jetty point she again had stomachache again and we had to wait her again... At the end, we have our ferry at 10am, reaching Kuala Perlis around 11.15am...

After that, we walked on foot to the nearest bus station, thought there will have a bus straight go to Butterworth so that we can take ferry straight to Penang, later found out there weren't any bus unless we take bus to Kangar or Alor Setar and then from there change bus go to Butterworth. So we decided to go Alor Setar since nearer to Penang and would be cheaper if go to Butterworth compared to from Kangar. The bus seat is so comfortable, first time sitting on a double decker bus and the upper deck. So nice sleeping there until we reached Alor Setar. Then we changed bus and the bus is so freaking shaky, whole chair was shacking worst than a roller coaster, nevertheless the fact that we're so tired all 7 of us managed to sleep in the bus soundly, miracle. Then reached Butterworth, we took ferry to reach George Town. And after that we walked like a dead zombie until we reached our hotel, Chulia Herritage Hotel. It took almost like 7 hours for us to get from Langkawi to Penang...

After resting and dinner, we started our little journey at night, finding van to fetch us the next day then later separated into two teams, one went to Gurney to shopping another walked around. So I joined Thomas and Pui Mun, Zhi Yi and Ying Shuang and Pei Fong to go to temple. There are so many temples around Penang street. We walked quite a distance and reached the temple named 玄母殿.

After that went to eat the famous Tom Yam noodles and Fish Head noodles. Well quite expensive and we argued along the way how they calculated our bill. Confused... First day in Penang was so tiring.
Day Four
Woke up around 7.30am. Went to Kapitan Restaurant to have breakfast. Well nothing special about their mamak. I think somehow same with same standard with KL one. After that we went on foot to search for murals. Well it's not that hard to find though, cause when you see if there are a lot of people surrounding a certain street you know there is one mural there. Some murals:
 |
| Minion: Heeyah! |
 |
| Brother and sister on swing |
After a few street arts, we were afraid we might not have time to go for some interesting places, so we headed to Made In Penang Interactive Museum where all 3D arts were there. Looked so real though.

Well, we planned to get a rental van but they said no van. So we then changed our plan again and continue searching for murals to take photos with it..

After a while since we can't get a van, we decided to take rapid Penang to the places we wanted to go. So we walked to Komtar where we can know which bus we have to take. Before going to the bus terminal, we tried the Penang famous cendol and the fried koay teow. Not bad... Cendol was nice, at least the nicest that I have tasted so far, the koay teow was okay okay. Maybe too much people ordered she cooked it too fast. Then we took bus to Kek Lok Si and they managed to eat the famous bowl of laksa there too. Too bad I don't eat spicy, so I just watched them eat their laksa. Kek Lok Si, first time being there. Bought some wishing ribbons there and prayed. Then we headed to Penang Hill. Cool breeze there and the night view from there was awesome! There was a fire show there too. I wonder how the girl could effortlessly let the fire played around her. Then finally we went back to Chulia street and had dinner there. There was a Wantan Mee stall that has long queue and was one of the recommended places to eat Wantan Mee there. Not bad though. I admire their teamwork there... The mother cooked the noodles and the son helped put the sauces, cutting the noodles and put ingredients. Ate some other stuffs until full. This night someone sick, and I had to sleep beside a couple, again. LOL

Day Five
Final day in Penang. Checked out the hotel around 9am and luckily they said they have a luggage room to put luggage if not we have to carry our luggage throughout the whole day until night. Have mixed rice for breakfast. Nice but quite expensive, and they cheated us! Their shop name put economic rice but it's not cheap at all. LOL! Then we said goodbye to Thomas and Pui Mun and we headed to watch dragon boat. Took bus there and the bus was so shacky. When reached our station, we still had to walk for about 20minutes to reach our destination to watch the dragon boat. We spent less than half an hour there, knowing we know nothing about it and nothing interesting and we headed down again. =_=

Then we took bus again to go Gurney Plaza for shopping. Thought can buy Tambun biscuit from there but don't have. So Wei Hon asked around and asked his aunty and finally found one shop nearby (well not really nearby) the Gurney, so we don't have to go another end to buy it. Managed to find the shop after asking around. The most frustrating moment was when we wanted to go back. Two buses came and all full with people. Never mind, we decided to walk to the station before us which was not far and when the bus came, not much people inside. Never mind, when we were in the bus and as the bus traveled along, we saw a few famous shops selling tambun biscuits. zzzzzzz. Wasted our energy to search for it. So we know, next time if we wanted to buy or eat, just take the bus, it basically can reach the place we wanted to go. LOL. Back to hotel, having a bath and we kiss goodbye Penang. Took ferry back to Butterworth and then train back to KL. The train not that bad, everyone slept soundly except me as I kept awake for no reasons...

Reach KL around 6.30am the next morning. Tired max. I went back home and I think I slept for more than 10hours....
It's indeed a wonderful trip though. Well I think it was not meant for friends but couples trip. Every couples like spending their time together themselves than mixing around much... Somehow I do feel jealous of them. And I do feel awkward when I was being a lightbulb. Indeed it ain't a good feeling. In Langkawi still okay but in room when I have couples sleeping beside me, it just feels strange. And even in Penang, couples walking together, well if Pei Fong wasn't in the trip guess I'll be awkward max, cause all are couples! 4 couples!! Never mind, have to get used to it orelse find another one... haha. in my dreams... =___= Anyway, still enjoy the whole trip, just the fact I forget buy much chocolate~
